Vintage Clothes & Thrifting

Loving the Hunt

My background in fashion started as a deep love for shopping. A day out at the mall and having pizza for lunch is a tradition on my mom’s side of the family. I grew up having a passion for fashion (and pizza). I always had a sketch book full of fashion designs, as I have always loved building my own jewelry and creating my own clothes. And of course my favorite therapy is retail therapy. I went on to study Fashion Merchandising in college with a focus on studio art and visual merchandising.

My love for thrifting began back in middle school where I loved to scour the racks of the local Salvation Army to look for costumes for Halloween, Spirit Week at school, or the numerous theatrical productions I was constantly a part of. I was always on the hunt at our local Good Will stores and discovered my love for vintage clothes, jewelry, and accessories, and soon began to incorporate vintage pieces into my everyday wardrobe.

Over the years my love for shopping and thrifting has turned into a large collection of clothing, jewelry, and accessories, that I just recently have started to sort through and sell. Although I primarily source home decor items when I thrift, I still love to hunt the racks at thrift stores. I always have a collection of vintage, pre-loved, and handmade, clothes, jewelry, and accessories available at our antique booth 107 at Stillwater Antique Center.
